Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Hilo Aviation is committed to providing a website and platform that are accessible to people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing engineering and design responsibility, not a one-time audit.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Measures we take
- Accessibility is included in our design and development process.
- Interfaces are built with semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate.
- Core flows are keyboard navigable; visible focus states are preserved.
- Color contrast is reviewed against WCAG AA standards.
- Informative images and icons are given meaningful text alternatives.
- Forms include associated labels and clear error messages.
- We test with assistive technologies including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
- Accessibility feedback from users is reviewed and tracked with our product backlog.
Compatible technologies
The Services are designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox) and common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. Older browser versions may have limited support.
Known limitations
Parts of the Services may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are actively working to close these gaps. Known areas under improvement include: complex scheduling grids with dense interactions; certain charts and data visualizations that need enhanced non-visual alternatives; legacy third-party embeds that are outside our direct control.
Where an accessibility barrier limits your use of a feature, please let us know — in many cases we can provide an alternative path.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Hilo's website and platform. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need content in an alternative format, please contact us. We aim to respond within five (5) business days.
Assessment approach
Our accessibility work combines automated testing during development, manual testing of core flows, and periodic review by qualified personnel. This statement will be updated as our coverage expands.
